Amid all the excitement about iPhones and Android smartphones, Windows phones have been afterthought, little more than the punch line of a bad joke. Not anymore. With the upcoming release of Windows Phone 7 Mango, Microsoft finally has a mobile operating system that can compete with the big boys. And manufacturers like HTC, LG, and Samsung will be supporting Mango with a slate of shiny new phones destined to hit these shores in the fall.
