Android Chameleon Launcher 1.1.1 Now Supports Native Android Widgets

A new version of the Chameleon Launcher has been rolled out to the Google Play Store this week, which takes it to version 1.1.1 and has been designed to add a number of new features to the software.

The  Chameleon Launcher 1.1.1 for Android now supports Native Android widgets, and also includes updated and enhanced Twitter, Facebook and Calendar widgets.

Verizon Sold 3.1 Million iPhones In Quarter Three

US mobile carrier Verizon Wireless has released its latest financial results for the third quarter of 2012, and they also announced that they sold a total of 3.1 million iPhones in the same quarter.

We also got to find out how many of Apple’s new iPhone 5 were sold by Verizon in the third quarter, the device was only on sale for a short period in September before the end of the quarter and Verizon managed to sell 650,000 iPhone 5′s.

Delta Six Controller Hits Kickstarter (video)

Asus Padfone 2 Android 4.1 Jelly Bean Update Coming In November

This week Asus announced their latest Android smartphone, the Asus Padfone 2, the device comes with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, although Asus had said it would get the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update in the future.

Now it would appear that Asus will be releasing the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update for the Asus Padfone some time next month, as an Asus representative has told the guys over at GSM Arena that Jelly Bean will land on the device next month.

Apple Granted Passbook Trademark

Apple recently launched their new Passbook app in iOS 6, the app lets you store things like plane and concert tickets and also lets you make payments with compatible applications like Starbucks, and Apple are rumored to be taking Passbook payments in their retail stores in the future.

Apple filed for the Passbook trademark in the US back in June of this year, shortly after it was announced at WWDC 2012 and Apple has now been granted the trademark for ‘Passbook’ by the USPTO.

It looks like Acer’s Iconia Tab A110 tablet will shortly go on sale in the US, as Acer have announced that their 7 inch tablet will be available from the 30th of October for around $229.

We have been hearing rumors that Google’s next Nexus smartphone will either be from LG or Samsung, and then yesterday we heard that Google may be releasing multiple Nexus devices from different manufacturers.

Wii U Call of Duty Black Ops 2 Will Launch Without Elite Support

Nokia Announces $754 Million Operating Loss On $9.4 Billion Revenue

Nokia has announced its latest financial results for the third quarter of 2012, Nokia announced a total operating loss of 576 million Euros, which is around $754 million US dollars.

Nokia also announced total net sales of 7.2 billion Euros for quarter three of 2012, which is around $9.4 billion US dollars, and they revealed some details on how many of their Lumia devices they sold in the quarter.

Apple Loses Galaxy Tab Appeal In The UK

Back in July a UK court ruled that Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 10.1 did not copy Apple’s iPad, Apple decided to appeal the ruling, and the UK court has now ruled again in Samsung’s favor.

Apple was originally told after the first ruling that it must run adverts in the press and on their website, stating that Samsung did not copy Apple’s iPad, and the judge in the latest case has now confirmed that Apple has to produce these adverts

Sony Xperia VL Announced For Japan

Toshiba’s Windows 8 PCs Go Up For Pre-order

Rumored iPad Mini Display With 4:3 Aspect Ratio Leaked

Apple will announce its new iPad Mini next Tuesday the 23rd of October, and yesterday we heard that the iPad Mini would go on sale on the 2nd of November, the device is rumored to come with a 7.85 inch multi-touch display.

We have previously heard a number of rumors that the 7.85 inch iPad Mini display would come with a 16:9 aspect ratio, and now some photos have appeared online of what is reported to be a display for the iPad mini but it features a 4:3 aspect ratio.

Infinity Blade Dungeons Game Delayed Until 2013 (video)

Tablet gamers waiting patiently for the release of the new Infinity Blade: Dungeons game to be released, are going to be disappointed to hear that Epic Games has this week announced that its launch will now be delayed until 2013.

The original Infinity Blade was the fastest-grossing app in the history of iOS, making $1.6 million in just four days, and was developed by Chair Entertainment and Epic Games back in 2010.

Apple To Acquire Color Labs Video Streaming Startup

According to a recent report by The Next Web Apple is in the process of acquiring video streaming startup Color Labs, Color Labs raised around $41 million in financing before they launched last year.

The deal is reported to have been done with Apple, although apparently the papers are not signed yet, and there are no details on how much Apple has paid for Color Labs as yet.

AT&T Nokia Lumia 920 Leaked Training Videos Show Handset Will Be Exclusive For 6 Months

Nokia and AT&T recently announced that the Nokia Lumia 920 would be an AT&T exclusive in the US, although at the time of the announcement there were no details on how long the exclusivity would last.

Now some leaked AT&T training videos for the Nokia Lumia 920 T&T have revealed the the handset will be exclusive to AT&T for a period of six months from launch, which is this Sunday.

Microsoft Releases New Surface Promo (Video)

Microsoft will launch their new Surface tablet later this month, we found out the pricing on the device earlier this week, prices will start at $499, and now Microsoft has released a new promo video.

Google Holding Android Event On October 29th

Google has sent out invites for an Android event which will take place on the 29th of October at 10AM in New York, the invite features the tagline ‘the playground is open’.

Google has yet to reveal any information on what will be unveiled at the event, but there are a number of possibilities and we suspect we will here about Google’s next Nexus smartphone.
