One year from today is March 1... or is it February 28? Either way, February 29 is a quadrennial date that originated all the way back in 45 BC, and has since garnered plenty of superstition and folklore.

Leap Year History and Folklore
Ladies, if there were ever a day to propose to your man without stealing his proverbial thunder, today is it--and you won't get another chance until 2016.

Who Invented Leap Year?
Let's do it Jeopardy-style: This Roman emperor is credited with first introducing the idea of leap year in 45 BC, with the assistance of his astronomer, Sosigenes.

Leap Day Bundles of Joy
Technically speaking, over 5 million people worldwide celebrate their true birthday just once every four years. Does that mean somebody born in, say, 1956 is only 14 years old?

How to Make a Leap Year Cocktail
Shake up your Leap Day with this classic cocktail made from gin, vermouth, orange liquer, and a splash of lemon juice.

From Dale Wickell, your Guide to Trucks
A chunk of the upper United States is experiencing loads of snow this week, with states below drenched in rain and dealing with severe weather. Staying safe on wet roads can be a problem, no matter whether the precipitation that's falling is frozen or liquid.

Navigating Your 4WD Truck on Snow and Ice

snowstormIt's true that your pickup truck's four-wheel drive system can be a big help on snowy roads, but the system is not a cure-all that will keep you safe on slick pavement -- it does have limitations. Roll over any slick surface with caution, no matter what type of vehicle you're driving. My 4WD Winter Driving Tips will help you get a handle on a few important maneuvering skills.

Click here to watch videoHey Bharath,

This is a piece I wrote to work on your hybrid picking.

It also has a little flat picking thrown in as well.

Start this piece slow and make sure above everything else that you maintain a solid technique.

You want to build your endurance with your hybrid picking so just work it slow and consistent and you'll be fine.

A metronome won't hurt either. Of course, you can vary the tempo slightly later with a piece like this to inject some musicality.

Bluegrass Guitar MasteryBluegrass Guitar Mastery

Bluegrass can be as simple or as complex as you make it. Not many other genres of guitar have this much flexibility.

It can be a lot of fun for friends getting together just playing basic chords or a five piece band of jamming talent.

Bluegrass is a type of music that has basically no electric instruments or drums. It excites the listener by emphasizing notes and just plain good old fashioned picking.

If you are already a bluegrass fan, then you know how great it is. It is a lifestyle in itself. It's fun and has attracted a diverse and loyal following worldwide.
