| Syndicate Reboot Game Trailer Unveiled (Video) Posted: 29 Sep 2011 07:47 AM PDT A new funky trailer has been unveiled by EA Games for the upcoming reboot of the Syndicate franchise which is expected to arrive on 21st February 2012. The new game will feature 4 player co-op modes featuring missions from the original classic game. Set in the year 2069, Syndicate puts players in a world no longer governed by politicians, but divided up into regions controlled by megacorporations known as Syndicates. Any LoveFilm member with a £5.99 or above can use the app at no extra cost by simply entering their login details and then stream content directly to their ipad over a Wi-Fi connection. Unfortunately the new iPad app doesn’t include a pay-to-view option so you can only access movies via your subscription package.

| Google+ Now Allows Full Size Photo Downloads Posted: 29 Sep 2011 07:20 AM PDT In response to Google+ user feedback Google has now added a new feature that enables Google+ users to be able to download full size photos. The new feature has been rolled out today and is found by when viewing a photo in the lightbox mode, under Actions down in the bottom righthand corner. If you would prefer not to allow users to be able to download full size images of your photos, simply goto your Google+ settings and uncheck the “Allow viewers to download my photos” checkbox.

| HTC Explorer Headed To Vodafone UK Posted: 29 Sep 2011 07:17 AM PDT Earlier today HTC announced their latest Android smartphone the HTC Explorer which is designed to be a budget Android device, we have already heard it is headed to UK mobile operator Three, and now the guys over at Vodafone UK just dropped us an email to let us know that the HTC Explorer will be available on their network in the UK. The HTC Explorer will come with Android Gingerbread 2.3.5 and will also feature the latest version of HTC’s custom user interface, HTC Sense 3.5.

The Motorola Defy+ has a 3.7 inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 854 x 480 pixels, there is 2GB of built n storage, plus a microSD card slot, processing is provided by a single core 1GHz processor and it will come with Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread.

| Apple’s Steve Jobs Attempted To Discuss Patent Issues With Samsung Posted: 29 Sep 2011 06:28 AM PDT Apple and Samsung are currently engaged in more than 20 different court cases in nine countries around the world, the cases relate to patents which each company is accusing the other one of infringing related to smartphones and tablets. Samsung has been Apple’s biggest supplier for some time now, and has supplied Apple many of the parts for its iPhone’s iPad’s and iPod Touch, and now according to Bloomberg, Apple’s former CEO, Steve Jobs attempted to enter into negotiations with Samsung, before the matters were brought to court.

| Fake iPhone Ring Busted In China, Found Using Apple Components Posted: 29 Sep 2011 05:55 AM PDT We have already seen a bunch of fake iPhone’s which have been produced in China, and now a counterfeiting ring has been arrested by Shanghai China, and the group was found to be using actual Apple components to produce their fake iPhone’s. Around 200 fake iPhone’s were received in the raid, and when they were looked at more closely, they were found to contain actual Apple components, and were hard to tell apart from the real iPhone.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 comes with a 10.1 inch display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels, there is also a dual core 1GHz processor and it is capable of playing back full HD video in 1080p.

Speaking to PC Mag, Jenkins said that Amazon won’t help hackers root the device, be he also said that they wont go out of their way to stop people rooting the Kindle Fire.

| Apple Fixes 24 Inch Cinema Display, Thunderbolt Mac Flickering Issue Posted: 29 Sep 2011 03:43 AM PDT If you have purchased on of Apple’s new Cinema Displays and connected it your new Thunderbolt mac system you might have noticed a little bit of flickering on the display at random times. If you have you will be pleased to know that Apple has been on the case and has now created a fix for the issue. A new firmware has been created to correct the issue but has not yet been publicly released by Apple so still use a little caution and read the documentation before applying the new firmware. Apple also says that this firmware update may not resolve the flickering issue if a Mini DisplayPort extender cable is used.

| Samsung Stratosphere Full Specifications Leaked Posted: 29 Sep 2011 03:32 AM PDT We have already seen some leaked photos of the new Samsung Stratosphere, which is headed to Verizon, and now the guys over at Droid Life have got their hands on the full specifications, it will come with Android 2.3 Gingerbread and features a slide out QWERTY keyboard. The Samsung Stratosphere is powered by a single core 1GHz, and has 512MB of RAM, plus 4GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot which can take up to 32GB cards and it will come with a 4GB microSD card.

The BioShock case was created by Hungarian BioShock fan and modder Gregory Mórocz and has taken a number of years to complete, which he has now named “Welcome to Rapture". Mórocz was inspired by the art-deco aesthetics and was so excited when the original BioShock game was released he decided to create a case worthy of the BioShock games content.

| Skype 2.5 Update For Android Introduces Adverts Posted: 29 Sep 2011 02:29 AM PDT Skype has announced today the rolled out of a new update for Android devices adding support for Skype to an additional 14 Android devices. Now bringing the total of Android devices supported by Skype to 41. Skype also announced that it will also be available by default on several Motorola Devices including the Atrix 2.5 or Xoom 2.5. Other new features within the update include the ability to switch between portrait and landscape modes during video calls, and zoom in with a simple double tap on the screen. Together with additional support for Bluetooth headsets.

The team hope to recreate the Live-Action Pixar Toy Story movie, shot-for-shot, with real people and real toys from beginning to end. The project has already been going for a year but the team has now released a preview clip of the work they have been creating.

| Curved Wood iPhone Docking Stand (video) Posted: 29 Sep 2011 01:45 AM PDT Jerry Jaksha has created a very natural wooden iPhone stand using a bent wood laminating technique he mastered nearly 15 years ago to bend strips of wood to create a unique iPhone docking station. In his wood bending technique Jaksha uses wet wood and a couple of clamps together with Gorilla Glue to create the curved wood pieces which make up the basis for his iPhone stand design. | Samsung’s New Dual Core 1.5GHz Exynos 4212 Processor Unveiled Posted: 29 Sep 2011 01:34 AM PDT Earlier today we heard that Samsung and Google are holding a mobile event on the 11th of October, where we are expecting to get our first look at the new Samsung Google Nexus Prime which will come with Android Ice Cream Sandwich, and now we may have a clue as to what processor the Nexus Prime will come with. We had heard previously that the Nexus Prime may come with a dual core TI OMAP 4460 processor, but now it would appear it may come with Samsung’s latest Exynos processor which has just been announced.

| Little Deviants Hands On: PS Vita’s Special Features Showcase Posted: 28 Sep 2011 03:09 PM PDT Little Deviants is supposedly the game that convinced Sony execs that the PS Vita's rear touch screen is a good idea. After standing in line for two hours to play the thing, however, we're not sure what game they were shown, because it surely couldn't have been the same sparse collection of mini-game tech demos masquerading as an attempted retail product, and we're not just saying that because we spent about 20% of a perfectly good Saturday queuing to play the thing.
