| Almost one million iPad 2s sold already Posted: 15 Mar 2011 03:49 PM PDT As you might already have heard, on the 11 of March Apple launched it’s brand new iPad 2, this new device has a number of significant improvements over it’s predecessor. Among them we can find two cameras for Facetime with your friends and also for HD recording, another improvement for this device is it’s speed, so the iPad 2 is twice as fast as the original iPad was and also it’s a lot thinner and lighter. Even though the new iPad 2 has more features than the original one and it’s lighter and thinner the battery is more efficient, meaning you still get around ten hours of juice. The iPad 2 went on sale in the US on Friday and according to retailers it was difficult to find an iPad 2 over the weekend as all iPads were sold at every Apple and non-Apple store, and in some stores all iPad 2s were sold in the first 10 minutes. So even if the sales did not reach the 1 million mark yet they are very close in achieving it. In comparison the first iPad reached the one million mark after 28 days from it’s launch, so what we’re seeing now just after a few days is already a staggering difference.
