I believe reviewers and early adopter friends who tell me that the new Apple iPad's display is phenomenal. But honestly, with tax season upon us I just don't have the $500-plus to plunk down for that magical tablet that so beautifully displays text--no matter how much I enjoy reading. I've been considering a nice new Kindle Fire from Amazon instead, especially after reading articles like Tom Spring's "Get More Out of Your Kindle Fire Tablet: Five Tips." Tom tells us how to choose from hundreds of non-Amazon apps; move music, movies, and docs to the tablet; give the Kindle Fire a brand-new interface; and more.
